PECHET and ROBB studio limited

SweaterLodge : Unlatched In 2006 our studio had the honour of representing Canada at the Venice Biennale of Architecture with an installation titled SweaterLodge. From January 13th to May 1st 2011 the mammoth polar fleece sweater will be lodging at the Museum of Vancouver. The SweaterLodge book will be available at the Museum.

The Lieutenant Governor of British Columbia Medal in Architecture We are honoured to be the co-recipients of a 2010 Lieutenant Governor of British Columbia Medal in Architecture for the False Creek Energy Centre, building by Walter Francl Architecture Inc.; stacks by Pechet and Robb art and architecture ltd.

Vancouver Special Tour The Vancouver Heritage Foundation held its annual tour of Vancouver Specials on Saturday, September 25th. Two of our projects – the Hawthorne and Lakewood residences were included on the tour; Stephanie spoke at the pre-tour lecture.

Royal Oak Family Remembrance Garden Our studio is pleased to be working with Joe Daly Landscape Architect on this memorial garden for unborn and young infants for the Royal Oak Burial Park in Saanich.

The Pier 2 The second phase of The Pier in North Vancouver recently completed. Our studio designed a number of the new pieces such as the Big Drawer. This outdoor sculpture and monument to the shipyard workers marks the original entrance to the Burrard Shipyards and the location where workers punched their time cards.

A Guidebook to Contemporary Architecture in Vancouver We’re pleased to have a few projects included in this lively tour of Vancouver’s finest and internationally acclaimed architecture from the past 20 years. Published by Douglas _ McIntyre.

FCEC Stacks Our studio designed the emissions stacks for the recently completed False Creek Energy Centre in Southeast False Creek, Vancouver. Five finger-like stainless steel stacks are topped with finger-nail like LED fixtures that glow relative to the facility’s heat output – blue/cool to red/hot. This large work is located at the south Cambie Street bridgehead.

Granville Street Redesign We are currently working in collaboration with PWL Partnership Landscape Architects on the redesign of 10 blocks of Granville Street in Downtown Vancouver. A suite of vertical tube lighting and other furnishings is currently being installed. Completing summer 2010. Photo credit Jonathan Carter

Ponte Formaggio Our studio provided concept sketches to PWL Partnership landscape Architects for Hinge Park in Southeast False Creek. One of the park elements, the Ponte Formaggio, was featured on the cover of February 2010 issue of Landscape Architecture Magazine.

The Pier-2 The Pier precinct, located in North Vancouver's former Burrard shipyard has entered its second phase of redevelopment. Along with the our already completed benches, walkways and site furnishings, Pechet and Robb is adding a large covered rolled steel stage structure, more furnishings, custom lighting fixtures, plaza surfaces, and a public art work called "the big drawer". We have a long-standing and successful collaboration with Durante Kreuk Landscape Architects on this large project.

The Pier-1 Recently our studio was honoured with a Public Art Award of Excellence for Pier Fixtures, The Pier Phase 1 presented by the Office of Cultural Affairs, City of North Vancouver.

The Woods-2 Our studio has been retained to design a second phase to The Woods Columbaria at Capilano View Cemetery, in West Vancouver. The Woods-2 will include over 800 new interment spaces, covered by large floating roof structures; reminiscent of sheltering wings.
